Sous-Chef  Heather Minter – Mathews, VA

heather-minterMy first culinary experience started at the age of 15 at a local family restaurant. I had always enjoyed cooking with my grandmother and quickly fell in love with my new career.  My culinary education began with a 2 year program under Chef Hatley Bright at RCC and continued with an externship at RWC under my new mentor Chef David Coontz.  Here I learned banquet planning along with preparation for special dietary restrictions.  After spending many years as Executive Chef at the Kilmarnock Inn, I have found serenity and a new home at The White Dog Bistro in my hometown of Mathews.  I look forward to meeting you all and helping to make your dining experience at the White Dog the best in Virginia.
