Find Yourself Surrounded in a Classy Gallery of Both Local Talent and Historic Significance.

We display a whimsical array of Toby Wing’s headshots and movie photos, an original MGM Goldwyn girl credited with 33 films and for inspiring the Marilyn Monroe look. She was a resident of Mathews who retired here in the historic building that is now the White Dog Bistro with her also famous pilot/husband Dick Merrill. She was often seen, even in her golden years, parading around the grocery store or local shops in her high heels and feathered boas.

We are Proud and Fortunate to Spotlight Local Artisans on Our Dining Room Walls, on the Patio, and on the Table as Well.

Still Life by Gary Edmondson. On Display and Available for Purchase.
Our tables currently feature the handmade candle votives by local potter and artisan Carolyn August and her local business August Made. Check out her FB site as well.
Let’s not forget the fireplaces dating to 1840 in our main Dining room. In the “newer” additions of our smaller dining room and bar they date to ONLY 1911.
